The Native American Recognition Days (NARD) Parade hosts floats, drum bands, dancers and all kinds of traditional and contemporary entertainment provided by Native Americans from all over Arizona and the United States. The theme of this years parade: "Celebrating the History and Future of Native American Women" will honor achievements, progress and dedication of Native American Women and their families. Grand Marshalls will be Miss Indian Arizonas - from the first to the last over the past 50 years. The very first crowned Miss Indian Arizona from 1961, Veronica Homer, has confirmed her attendance along with most of the others. Immediately following the parade the community is invited to join all of the NARD organizations at a traditional Pow Wow that will be held at Central High School. Join us for a day of celebration, culture and fun!

The Parade is Free - Bring a blanket to sit on, a lemonade to sip and your hands to clap for the entertainers!
